I have not done this before but it seems like a great price to look at the different types of cloth diapers. You can even ask for certain brands. They have a money back guarantee as well. If you do decided to do this and want to tell me about it, email me at helpfulsister@gmail.com. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

May is
Pregnancy Awareness Month:
Alternative Ways to Take Care of You and Baby

May is Pregnancy Awareness Month (PAM). Even though May is almost over I still felt I should get this up for all those who are pregnant, thinking about it. Did you know there are alternative ways to ensure you are consciously taking care of yourself and your "ecosystem" that is growing your baby?

#1 Prenatal Acupuncture
Acupuncture is not only used to treat pain but it can provide amazing results (drug free) from allergies, colds, morning sickness, migraines and sciatica. Even during your last few weeks (37-40) it can prepare you body for labor.

#2 (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) Prenatal Chiropractic Adjustments
I have come to love going to the chiropractor (when I afford it, costs range from $35-$45, per adjustment, or some places offer family plans). Prenatal Chiropractic care helps with preexisting unnoticed imbalances in the spine and pelvis. Just adding the weight of the baby and how your body carries him or her could cause issues that you could not see coming. The care also helps baby. You can learn more here .

#3 Prenatal Yoga
I love doing this as well. This benefits you because you are in a calm state, you can quite your mind and it increases oxygen flow to you and your baby. I have found that the positions I have learned also helps when I have some mild discomfort. Yoga during pregnancy also helps with flexibility which is important throughout but also during your labor. Another benefit it helps strengthen the areas you will need for labor. Plus, the breathing techniques you can take right into the hospital, birthing center, or home birth.

A great article to learn more found on the Pregnancy Awareness Month website or click here

Cloth Diaper? I Just Did!!

As a mom of a 10.5 month old, it took me almost 10 months to actually say "Yes" to cloth diapers. I researched and researched and still ended up using the standard Pampers or Huggies. My husband and I knew they weren't the best for my little one but we could afford them. The diapers I really wanted was going to cost me almost $500 up front and really nothing after. How could I afford that upfront cost?

Well, I have seen the light. I got a great deal on a starter pack on one of the Baby Steals daily steals and I have fallen in love. I use the Hybrid Diaper from GroVia, click here to learn more. They are affordable and anyone can do it. They are not like your mothers cloth diapers! Plus we have already spent around $800 on disposable diapers. To read more about all the different types of cloth diapers and services (yes there are different types) go to the article below. I subscribe to Mothering Magazine and thought this was a perfect article to share with those who know all about them but for those who just don't think they could ever change to them.
Plus, I am here to help. Got questions, need more info? Just email me at helpfulsister@gmail.com. I can help you get the facts and info you need.
